About
Synaco was founded in 1983 in Liège, in a region with a dense food industry network. Since then, the company has built its reputation on three pillars: mastery of the flavorist’s craft, integrated production and a direct customer relationship. This positioning, that of a human-scale flavor house with genuine industrial capacity, allows us to serve both growing Belgian SMEs and international groups looking for a responsive partner.
New leadership since 2026
In June 2026, Synaco embarked on a new chapter. Pascal Azam, who had grown the company for many years, handed over control to Raphaël Mirgaux and Geoffroy Dieu.
Raphaël Mirgaux, who brings nearly 20 years of experience in the flavor industry and in managing food manufacturing sites, serves as CEO. He oversees day-to-day operations and business development.
Geoffroy Dieu, who also comes from the flavor industry and has experience supporting growing SMEs, is involved as a shareholder and non-operational strategic partner, focusing on the long-term vision.
What this transition changes, and what it does not change
A business handover raises legitimate questions for customers who have worked with Synaco for years. The answer fits in one sentence: the transition strengthens our resources without changing the way we work.
- What is accelerating : strengthening the teams, modernizing tools, developing new product lines, expanding into international markets
- What is preserved : the artisanal know-how, the partnership-based approach to customer relationships and the single-point-of-contact model that have been Synaco’s strength from the very beginning
The two new leaders come from the flavor industry. This is not a financial takeover by outsiders to the industry, and that is what makes this continuity sustainable.
Our values
Proximity
Direct relationships, frank discussions, fast decisions. Your project is driven by people you know and can call.
High standards
The quality of a flavor comes down to the details: raw material selection, rigorous application testing, precise traceability. We do not compromise on any of the three.
Agility
Our size allows us to make decisions quickly, iterate quickly, and deliver quickly. It also allows us to take on projects that would not fit into the industrial formats of the major players in the sector.
Our roots in Liège
Liège is not a default choice. The region combines a dense food-industry fabric, a rare logistics position in Europe and a pool of technicians trained in Belgian schools and universities. These roots are reflected in our recruitment, our academic partnerships and our involvement in Wallonia’s economic life.
